We congratulate George Odhiambo for his appointment by KCB Group as the new Managing Director of National Bank of Kenya (NBK). George has for the past five years been running KCB’s banking subsidiary in Rwanda. George was formerly the Managing Director at KCB Bank Rwanda Plc (since 2017). He is an experienced business leader with demonstrated prowess from working in the commercial banking industry for over 20 years. He is skilled in Leadership, Business Planning and Execution, Analytical Skills, Quality Management, General Management and an accredited Executive Coach. He is an astute business development professional having held various progressive positions in various tier 1 banks including Standard Chartered Bank and Barclays Bank of Kenya (now ABSA).
George holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance from KCA University in addition to other academic credentials and is a member of the COMESA Business Council, Digital Financial Inclusion Advisory Committee where he chairs the commercial banking sub-sector.
